Another Great Race Partnership!

At the last Modern Street HEMI Shootout Series / Mopars at the Rock race in 2024, I met a young man, Mark Dudley Jr., who comes from a long line of great and loyal Mopar racers (and in this case, awesome Big Block Mopar (BBM) engine builders).

He was running his Duster in the bracket program at the event and shared with me his curiosity around moving from his stroked 418 Small Block Mopar (SBM) based engjne and to a G3 Hemi. Like a lot of SBM and BBM racers visiting with us at this, and a prior similar event at Maryland International Raceway, and following some inspection of our cast G3 Aluminum Cylinder Head and a stock Hellcat Redeye one, we’d often get asked about the inherent and somewhat obvious advantages of the platform. That would lead to discussions around the bracket racer’s desire for no laptop tuning, hood closed, cost effective $$/HP, with round after round consistency.

Between our discussion with Mark and the others, it led to our efforts to offer our new NA series of Race Spec G3 Hemi engines (and the recipes to build your own) in carb or EFI, at 550+, 650+, 750+ and 850+ HP levels.

More importantly it led to a 2025 race season partnership with Mark who later won the bracket program at the event. A partnership we are thrilled about as his race Duster will be the home of the first of our Race Spec NA, Carb 750+ HP engines.

Given his early driving career (18 yo) winning of the Footbrake Nationals, numerous NC track championships, IHRA Bracket Finals championships to follow, and winning the recent 2024 WDRA Bracket Finals and the Race of Champions, along with his 8 wins, 3 RUs and 6 Semis just this year…we’d say he knows his way very quickly away from the tree, knows where to put it at the stripe and how to get to the winner’s circle, and you can probably see why we couldn’t be happier than to be working with he and his team in 2025.
