The Blackbird Story — Forged in Racing
What started as a relentless pursuit of performance behind the wheel ultimately led to something bigger.
During early testing of the BlackbirdX Factory X Challenger, a crash resulted in a traumatic brain injury that forced Geoff Turk to step away from driving. It was a pivotal moment—not just for Geoff personally, but for the future of the Blackbird program.
Rather than stepping away from racing, Geoff and Jena Turk made a strategic shift. With Geoff’s background in mechanical engineering and executive leadership at companies like Caterpillar, U.S. Steel, and Holley Performance—and Jena’s experience in marketing and media production at Holley Performance, including work in graphic design, photography, and video—the focus turned toward helping others succeed on the track, with a particular emphasis on the Gen 3 Hemi platform they knew so well.

Initially, Blackbird supported a select group of racers directly, many of them competing with Gen 3 Hemi-powered vehicles. But it quickly became clear there was far more demand than time would allow.
That realization sparked the true beginning of Blackbird Performance.
Instead of helping a few teams, the mission became clear: develop proven, race-tested components—especially for the Gen 3 Hemi platform—that could help racers everywhere go faster, more reliably, and more efficiently.
Today, Blackbird Performance isn’t just built on engineering—it’s built on experience, resilience, and a deep understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest levels with modern Hemi power.
We don’t just sell parts — we race them, prove them, and build a band of Hemi brothers & sisters around them.
