It was an eventful couple days working with the awesome team at BES Racing Engines.
In addition to working to validate and tune another of the Blackbird Performance Race Spec 600+ engines, this one of the EFI variety controlled by an EFI Source Gold Box Lite, we were also visited by the Chief Sister of the Band of Hemi Brothers / Sisters.
We developed a very safe tune on pump 93 for this 392. It’s headed to a spot between the fenders of a street going classic Mopar. Even in the horribly wet air, we dialed it in, right at 600. We’ve found correction factors help but when water grains exceed 120, no completely correcting / overcoming an engine breathing water. On a drier day, it likely would have made 615-620.
For us Skyline lovers, it seems perfectly normal Jena came all this way to join us for lunch…or she was making sure we were all working hard to deliver the growing list of Race Spec engines, awaiting delivery to contribute to more G3 Hemi powered dreams.
