Blackbird Evolves: Transitioning to NMCA Extreme Street Competition
Geoff Turk began the next chapter of the Blackbird Challenger by converting his Drag Pak from Factory Super Cars competition into the NMCA’s Extreme Street class. The transition required significant changes, including a new engine combination, driveline updates, and chassis modifications—all while maintaining the ability to return the car to its original configuration.
Taking advantage of more flexible rules, the new setup featured increased displacement and a larger supercharger package, opening the door to even greater performance potential. The project highlighted the ongoing evolution of the platform and the continuous push to explore new limits.
