Blackbird Performance Customers Win Big at MSHS Orlando!
The sun was shining in Orlando but many of the racers made it clear, they weren’t there to Mickey Mouse around at the first of 2025 Modern Street HEMI Shootout Series events.
So great to see so many friends and customers and even better to see them have fun with their G3 Hemi powered dreams and in many cases, win.
Sammy Beagles made it to the race and began to show the suspension upgrades working unfortunately truncated by what looked to be a head gasket issue.
Doug Redd , whose Blackbird Performance Supercharger Belt Tensioner equipped Demon 170, we recently posted a video of making chassis dyno pulls ripped a PB of 8.77 before an an engine related issue ended his day.
In the 11.50 Index class, Kaleb Kelly, a BlackbirdX design contributor (‘Danger: Air Inlet’ and the obviously needed, ‘This Side Up’ decals), put his 1320 on the pole and then won it.
Carrying the banner proudly for NA carbureted G3 Hemis and ‘G3 Hemi the World’ was Brian Bednar in his ‘87 Olds Cutlass, qualifying #1 with a 9.507 in the 9.50 Index class and taking it to the winner’s circle, one wheels up launch after another.
The better half of the Heidings racing duo, Margie Heidings, expertly piloted her Blackbird Performance Supercharger Belt Tensioner assisted Demon 170 through rounds on the bracket race as well as all the way to the winner’s circle in the 9.0 Index Class.
The other half of the Heidings racing duo, Marc Heidings, pretty much put on a new Factory Spec class clinic in his ‘21 Drag Pak, going a 7.69, 7.71, 7.77 @ 181-183 MPH and then a 7.71 in competition in his Blackbird Performance Drag Pak engine program power plant motivated and deadly consistent, zero spin Challenger.
And so very cool to get to be here again with Carl Tasca, his crew and his Cobra Jet, who had fun, won money and made some strong side by side runs in the multi brand Factory Spec class.
We will head back home, get back to shipping, producing, developing more products and getting more race / swap cars ready to race. See you all in Rockingham.
