In the several decades of racing, we have been blessed with a lot of days at the track and for a number of reasons, today will be right up in the top of the list.
First, we got to work with our good friend and favorite test pilot, Alex Laughlin again.
Second, we were able to help a couple customers move their G3 Hemi powered dreams forward.
Third, out at Beechbend University, working with the always awesome track personnel, along with Phil and Tony Mandella, Keaton White and our fearless CEO, Jena… just a ton of folks, including some not in attendance, like John, who crafted that awesome air intake and was busy back at the shop, Carey, who wired both cars testing today and so many others…they got to see something they all had a hand in creating go out and perform.
Last, but not least, we got to put another ‘out of the ordinary’ G3 Hemi powered machine deep in the 6s and over 200. Now a Dakota pickup truck, joins a Challenger, and a dragster in the line up brought to that performance level with the help of the Band of Hemi Brother and Sisters that are
Blackbird Performance .
Fantastic to have Ryan Knifely be able to come so we could help him do a little sorting out on his beautiful C/SA 2012 Challenger with its 6.1l NA stock legal race car that we put an updated Holley control in.
And so awesome to finally get to see AJ Rockwell’s one of a kind Race Spec 1,700+ powered ex Pro Stock Dakota Truck making passes with Alex at the wheel. AJ asked that after we put it together, if we’d go out and sort his fast bracket, Top Sportsman ride out. Alex made 4-5 passes ending in the last one at 6.74 @ 200.4, in bracket mode, on a so-so, later in the day very warm track. It’s just fun watching Alex drive anything, but today, after the long wait to get this truck out, that last run reminded us all why we love him.
Back to the shop to get more product out to the awaiting customers and go back to work on more G3 Hemi powered dreams.
