What a great job Brian Bednar is doing putting his Blackbird Performance now Supercharged G3 Hemi to work, doing exactly what it was intended to do, turn on win lights and bring home money.
This is a guy who won races and did very well in Top Alcohol Dragster and in the PDRA Elite Top Dragster classes and this is a direct quote he sent me after running this car the 2nd time…

The whole team at Blackbird Performance works hard to deliver race winning capability to those who come to us with those G3 Hemi powered dreams. The real truth is, what we really work hard to deliver are experiences, fun and smiles. Smiles like the one I’m sure was on Brian’s face, sometime past midnight, after running in his second final in his second race, when he sent me an update. I’m not going to kid you, also just like the one on my face at 2 AM when I responded. Neither likely medically recommended activities for a couple guys in their 60-70s!
Here's more on what Brian had to say - "For the 2nd outing, the Blackbird Performance powered OldsMopar went back to Orlando Speedworld to compete in the quick 16 doorcar class. We were able to qualify 6th out of the 34 cars entered. Running back-to-back 5.11's in qualifying with another 5.11 in the 1st round. The car performed flawlessly and we made it to the final where the car did it's job running a dead on 5.07, unfortunately the guy holding the steering wheel did not do his job and was late. The consistency of the car and engine package is just awesome, especially since this is not a purpose-built racecar and has stock suspension. All but one of the other 15 qualifiers were purpose-built Top Sportsman type cars. The OldsMopar looked so out of place in the lanes next to all these cars and attracted lots of attention, especially after collecting win lights. Now it's time to tap into some of the large amount of power left in the Blackbird Performance  supercharged Gen 3 Hemi and learn how to pick up another tenth or so ET. Two races with the new combo and two finals! This thing is a fun ride!"
