Celebrating Our Anniversary at the US Nationals!
It was the coolest US Nationals I can recall, with a sweat shirt required in the mornings, cool in many other ways also, but unfortunately a very short one in competition.
A US Nationals, where Blackbird Performance very own employee number one Keaton Vester, in his first ever as a car owner, brought his new to him, Super Stocker out and made it into the field to compete, but exited round one with a red light.
One where the little G3 Hemi that could in the Rocky Mountain Rocket made it into the Top Dragster show, but sadly a first round compressed air system failure kept the throttle from working properly, and at the launch, it pulled closed about 1/3 and further to only about 1/2 open downtrack, crazy enough still went 195 and in the 6s but way slower than the expected performance and dial for the loss.
An event that marked the end of some things just last year but the beginning of so many new awesome things. Leading to involvement in a growing, wide array of awesome folks G3 Hemi powered dreams. At their foundation, a group of Hemi brothers and sisters who got back together here at this race to spend time together enjoying and engaging in a shared and undying passion. One of them, my best friend, who I was blessed to celebrate 5 years of marriage to at the event.
Not exactly what we were hoping for in some ways, but in others, so very much more than we had imagined just a year ago and as always, this experience shared with so many people we love.
