Dual Dynos, One Mission: 600HP Father & Son Builds

Dual Dynos, One Mission: 600HP Father & Son Builds

Over the 15 ish years we’ve worked with the fantastic team at BES on this great G3 Hemi platform, I don’t think we have ever gotten more done in a day or so, than the last day or so.
Today was a first in that we had both dynos, side by side, testing / developing Blackbird Performance engines at the same time. It was awesome.
On one side Michael was putting on, taking off two Race Spec 600 engines and on the other side, and on the other end of the HP spectrum, Richie was helping us learn more about and put our 408 Drag Pak, 3.0l Whipple supercharged beast through it’s paces, up in the 1,700ish HP territory.
By the end of the day, we had two tested and ready to rock Race Spec 600s done, and we learned a ton more about what the high winding, 408 Drag Pak, Whipple 3.0l likes and does not like up in the 1,700 and beyond territory.
The two 600s will soon be off to their very cool older Mopar homes, going to the Hernadez’s, father and son to power a couple of awesome rides. We did not lean on them much in their check out dyno testing, but we were thankful they were pretty close to each other so that their was no father / son fighting over who got the best one … although one does have black valve covers and the other orange!
Another good day working with a terrific team to make more G3 Hemi powered dreams come true.
