Hard at it! Making Changes and Testing at Beech Bend!
A good couple days at the track with such a fantastic group of folks.
A big thanks to Broc Porter and the crew at Beech Bend Raceway Park, giving us our learning university campus where we once again, grew our knowledge base of what to do more of and what not to do again.
On a decent hit, BlackbirdX ran a quicker and faster 1/8th than it ever has, and that was with lifting well before the 1/8th marker, even better than its 6.97 run here about a year ago and … with closed throttle after the final gear change and little to no tune up, clearly showing us its 6.6 - 6.7 potential.
To get there, we simply freshened the engine, incorporated a few low to no cost changes to it and the car's configuration, most of which have been almost unanimously suggested by the Factory X owners / drivers for quite some time.
But the data said we also have a few things to correct before we safely push to and beyond those < 6.8, 210+ boundaries, so we are back at the shop, working hard to get those things completed so we can head east ahead of next weekend.
East to the Modern Street HEMI Shootout to show the G3 Hemi faithful what deep in the 6s and 210+ looks like. We will be hard at it so we can hopefully do that safely , over and over again for them.
