New Supercharger Belt Tensioners!

New Supercharger Belt Tensioners!

All the hard work Eric Cunningham has put into working with us, applying the collective experience we have in designing many things and drawn from so many broken and/or well below optimal functioning, or way above their intended use case ‘stock’ supercharger belt tensioners… has come to fruition.
Today on our 3rd or 4th major iteration in an attempt to produce a much better option for the Hemi faithful, we began hard core engine testing of the design that should soon be available AND at a lower price than the competition.
It addresses many things, incorporating much more usable range of motion for pulls well above 10,000 RPM; hell for stout construction and stops; good and relatively constant spring force AND dampening and with a few more last tweaks to further improve its robustness, fitment and we will then beat the daylights out of it on dyno / track.
It turns out life is pretty hard on these things, and when they get out of control, or worse yet, break, they significantly impact belt life / slip, function or flat shut you down. Getting the balance of more force but also more control is pretty tough. Time on the 2-step rev limiter; wide open hard pulls, with sudden drop throttles; and down track high rpm rev limiter events (like at 10,300+) all conspire to tear these things up and has proven to be far more abusive than anything street related at much lower load typically.
Lastly, design elements that carry load and control motion, are all significantly improved over what is available today.
In its final form, it’s coming soon, at a price lower than others out there and not by sourcing it in China, because it’ll be made in the good old USA.
