Still Chasing Firsts: Geoff Turk Pushes the Limits of Factory X
Geoff Turk continues to push the Blackbird X program forward in NHRA’s Factory X class, driven by a mindset focused on breaking new ground and achieving firsts. As the owner of one of the first purpose-built Factory X cars, Turk has remained at the forefront of development, working to push performance into uncharted territory.
Even after stepping away from driving following a serious testing incident, Turk has continued leading the program from behind the scenes—working with top drivers and refining the combination as the class evolves. With milestones like 200+ mph runs already achieved and six-second passes now within reach, the focus remains on continuing to push the limits of what the platform can do.
The goal has never changed—keep pushing forward and keep finding the next barrier to break.
