A great day at London Dragway out getting a couple shakedown laps on Michael Judd’s beautiful Deja Vu ahead of Moparty, soon to be Ultra Street Duster. He and his team did a great job fitting ex Drag Pak engine, Turkuila Sunrise, in the car and the goal today was to see how much we had to play with given the starting engine, at 366 CID, is down 74 CID from the rules. It was just about at weight close to 3,100, leaf spring equipped and ready to race on 275s.
For being out of the car for more than a year, with a very different power plant, he and team did a great job sorting out the bugs and then making a couple soft 1.20ish 60’ runs with 4-5 degrees timing out from kill to get the initial setup sorted.
Craig Boone and the staff at London Dragway, a beautiful facility, like in a national forest, did a fantastic job taking care of us, and even came up with a battery for my trusty Kestrel weather checker (DA was 3,100-3200).
All that AND the sweet, sweet sound of a G3 Hemi over 10k through ZOOMIES ! Life doesn’t get a lot better than this but this car’s ETs, with some timing and tune up, oh, they will…and hopefully at Moparty!
Come out and see it and us, cause you know, ain’t no party like a Moparty!
