Unexpected and Awesome Surprises

A lot of unexpected and awesome surprises today at Blackbird Performance , and it’s Monday, we are just getting started.
To cap the day of great things off, met up with Michael Judd, his crew and Deja Vu, their just beautiful Duster, running on leaf springs, radial 275s and with Turquila Sunrise, the little 366 CID G3 Hemi with a Whipple 3.0l on it, that still can. Nothing quite like hearing this thing sing at 10k through zoomies.
Made 3 hits, dialing it in a bit, with Michael having to work a little harder now, shifting through 3 speeds. While on the last one, with a very, very safe tune, he wisely short shifted to set the front end down and went 4.71 at a buck fifty. A few more clicks of the shock, 20 more pounds up front, a little more timing at the hit, bump up the shifts, this little dude is deep 4.6s. That’ll keep him out having fun at Rockingham next week while we put together his even bigger, badder bullet.
AND I’m almost ashamed to say, I just discovered another hidden Kentucky gem.. US60 Dragway ! What an awesome facility and test, and to think, it’s 30 minutes from our new expansion campus. Thanks to the track owners and crew. We will be back.
